This kitten is available for adoption, but will be staying at his foster home until he's adopted. If you'd like to meet, please contact the shelter and we can make arrangements for the foster home to contact you about meeting the kitten.
This kitten needs a home with no kids under 10. He came in semi-feral. He's been in a foster home for the past month and is doing much better, but he is still learning that being handled is a good thing. Here's what his foster mom has to say about him:
Playful energetic grey tabby kitten. Came to the shelter "unsocialized" but has greatly improved. Plays well with siblings and people. Is curious, likes the company of people, and will sit in your lap when offered food or a toy. He likes being pet when he's sleepy and will purr, but he doesn't yet like to be held. With a little patience, he should continue to improve.
Our cats adoption fee is $64 for residents of Thurston County that live in Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater City Limits, or $62 for those in unincorporated Thurston County or out of Thurston County Residents. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including FVRCP (feline distemper combo) and Strongid (wormer), and are screened for feline leukemia.
The animals are placed on the webpage by volunteers and are not always current. If you'd like to check on the status of an animal, please call the shelter at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services’ website. The staff will need the animal's number (we have it listed as the name) in order to look up the animal.
“Adoption Pending” means someone is in the process of adopting this pet, but has not yet completed the requirements. Please check back later to see if the animal is available, as we cannot accept reserve applications.
