1511-0009 Lucky

Pit Bull Terrier

5 years, 11 months
Medium  |  Female

Virginia Beach, VA

Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals. If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below. We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!

This girl lived most of her 5 years with a family.
She came to us in bad shape with a horrible ear infection, gunky eyes and skin that was a bit inflamed.
She was sad. So very sad. She doesn't like loud noises, they scare her, and she found herself sitting in a city shelter where loud noises run rampant.
I am happy to see her come out of her shell and start showing some personality after a few weeks. On the other hand, I'm sad she has been with us long enough to start feeling comfortable.
It's hard to explain and it may not make much sense how a smile can make me happy and sad at the same time, but many times the smiles come around when these dogs start to think of the shelter as home and us as their family.
Please share this sweet girl so that her people can find her, because I know they are out there and they just need a little help realizing she is just the girl they have been looking for.
Lucky is available now at Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center, 341 S Birdneck Road. Please ask any staff or volunteer to bring Lucky (1511-0009) out to meet you as she is in the back waiting for a spot on the adoption floor at this time. Thank you for considering adoption!
