Virginia Beach, VA

Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals. If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below. We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!

Big boy waiting for a family right here in Virginia Beach! If you like the football player type then look no further! Spigot is a big dude, with looks that will have the ladies (and gentlemen) following you around trying to get a chance to love on your "cute puppy". He's cool with that! You see, Spigot is pretty easy going. He came to us as a stray and is listed as being somewhere between a year and 5 years old and 80 solid pounds. Most of that is in his head if I had to guess. Spigot is a good combo of many things adorable! We have him listed as a bulldog/bullmastiff mix as he's a low rider with a huge head. He's got the sit and stay command down, but he does like to get close to the people hanging around him, so he tends to pop up just as soon as he can and get real close to make sure he isn't missing anything important. He appears to be house trained, is not too bad on a leash, for a big old boy, and wiggles from head to tail with excitement when someone stops and pays attention to him. Spigot would do best as the only dog in the family, it appears as he's not great with most of the dogs in the shelter. He's ok taking walks with the lady dogs, but he's not fond of the males at all. He's also a bit of a bull in a china shop, so young kids may be a bit overwhelmed by him and his lack of understanding when it comes to personal space. He's hilarious and almost cartoon like in looks. Stop by Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center, 341 S Birdneck Road and meet Spigot. Do your heart some good! He's in the back waiting for his turn on the adoption floor so just ask for him by name and ID# 1603-0012. Someone will be happy to bring him out to say hello! Thanks for considering adoption!
