Ash is available in foster care, please contact the shelter at the below number.
A frequent reason for surrender is "moving, can't take with me". We are so sad when we see these senior fur babies come in to us for that reason, so we do the very best we know how to make their transition more comfortable. They often sit for months in a kennel waiting for their new family to find them and it can be so hard on them.
Ash is such a good boy. He is a super senior at 12 years old and, unfortunately, we are having to restrict his diet to canned food only. Turns out he eats, and eats....and eats some more out of boredom in the kennel. Poor guy. We think he'd be fine in a multi-cat household with proper introductions, and we know he loves all kids and likes small or medium dogs that do not growl at him. Ash loves to sleep with his person, too! Ash loves a good brushing and this is a great way to bond with him.
Call to meet this gentle giant of a cuddle bug today! He is currently in foster care with DIANE SMITH. Call 757-385-4444 opt 2 and ask to be put in touch with her. Please consider giving him a loving home for his last years. He will reward you with unconditional love! Ash is neutered and can come home with you on adoption day! Remember that seniors are always free to seniors on Wednesdays! #1605-1628
