1609-1643 Slater

Domestic Short Hair

Medium  |  Male

Virginia Beach, VA

Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals. If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below. We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!

A common mistake people make is trying to let their cats outside. "Just this once", I've heard my husband say and I say ok, only to have to put up with crying, tantrums, and foot stomping - and that's from my own cat! Let a cat out once and you open a pandora's box of trouble sometimes.
That was the case with Slater. He was undoubtedly allowed to go out, maybe for walks on a leash and it was all over after that. Slater now wants to be outside ALL the time. He does not realize that it can be very dangerous for kitties to be outside. Wild animals, stray dogs, mean people abound. It's much safer indoors but try telling that to a head strong fellow like Slater!
Slater is a sweet boy. A good boy. He is loving, affectionate and just a tad on the shy side. He was born and raised in foster care and was one of the best kittens imaginable his foster mom says. Just look at that sweet face and his beautiful marble coloring and your heart will just melt as ours has.
Slater was born on February 10, 2015, so he is still young. He is good with kids, dogs, even other cats and would be ideal for someone that will insist he stay indoors. It may take several weeks; maybe even a couple months, before you will win this argument but your patience will pay off. Slater is already neutered so can go home on adoption day (closed Tuesdays). #1609-1643
