Orange Julius is a fabulous, majestic cat who no doubt has had a colorful life before coming to the shelter. He arrived at the shelter with a deep bite wound to his left forelimb which was likely the way he was infected with FIV.
The wound has healed and Orange Julius is ready to GO HOME! Orange is very outgoing and will be the first one to greet you at the door when you enter his habitat.
Orange Julius is FIV+ and will need to be an indoor cat only. FIV is a cat-only disease that CANNOT BE SPREAD TO HUMANS OR OTHER ANIMALS. FIV+ cats most often LIVE LONG, HEALTHY and relatively NORMAL lives with no symptoms at all. FIV is difficult to transmit to other cats. It CANNOT be spread casually like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. The main route for transmission is via a bite where the virus is actually injected into the bloodstream.
Since Orange has been at the shelter for more than thirty days his adoption fee is $20.
