If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Pre-Qualification Form. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
Real Southern Belle
I'm Alabama Mama. I made the trip to Indiana because a shelter in Alabama didn't have enough space for me and my family. Thankfully someone at ARPO couldn't pass us up. I had 5 puppies (4 girls and 1 boy) who all now have homes. After I had my babies they found out that I was heart worm positive but I'm all better thanks to ARPO.
I love people and love getting love and attention. I know commands sit, lay down stay, and free dog. I currently live with two cats and we tolerate each other. Sometimes I try to chase them but mostly we just ignore each other. I was adopted but recently returned as I didn't get along with the other dogs in the neighborhood. I am protective of my family so I need to be the only dog and the home needs to have a good secure fence. I don't like loud noises like thunder and fireworks. I just want a place to hide until all is clear.
I have all my shots, spayed and micro-chipped so I'm ready for you to take me home.
