Say hello to Allie! Allie is a sweet senior dog looking for a home to retire in. She was surrendered to the shelter when her family lost their home. She does great with cats and also gets along with the other dog in her foster home. Allie is good with older children, but would prefer a home without young children.
Allie is an older girl and does have a few health issues. When she was first surrendered to the shelter, Allie had a uterus infection. The infection caused some complications with her liver and kidneys. It took a while, but her kidneys have recovered, and her liver is healing as well. We have her on a supplement to support her liver and continue to monitor her liver enzymes. Allie also has a little arthritis, which can cause her to be sore in the mornings. We are managing her arthritis with a joint supplement and pain medicine.
Allie gets very attached to her people! She always wants to be near her foster mom and follows her all around the house. Allie's favorite thing is to cuddle up near her people and take a nice nap. She gets cold when she sleeps and likes to sleep under the covers. But she can be quite spunky too and still likes to runs around when she's in the mood! If you have a warm bed and soft spot for older dogs, Allie is the dog for you!
