Anderson was rescued from the "mean streets," and he has been with us for a few weeks now. He is a very gentle older dude. He is both curious and cautious and likes to take his time with new things and especially new people. But he's always very easy-going. When Anderson first got here, he was not feeling so well and needed time to recuperate. He didn't really understand the concept of love or affection. Food and water and a soft bed for his sore joints were the things he understood most. But now, this little guy makes eye contact with us and will actually bark for his food. He loves his walks now that his feet have healed, and he has made wonderful friends with the resident dogs. He is quickly learning what it means to be loved, and now he actually seeks affection from both us humans and our dogs. Anderson is looking for that very special person who wants to be there with him, and for him, as he continues to blossom into the happy dog that he was always meant to be.
