Dog's Name: Andrew
Estimated Breed : Lab/Corgi Mix
Approximate Age: 7 yrs
Approximate Weight: 35lbs
Currently Living at: Loving foster home
Adoption Fee: $300
Meet Andrew! Andrew was adopted from us when he was 2 years old and recently returned when family circumstances changed. He is a sweet guy who is active when outside but likes to be calm and chill in a home. Andrew knows basic commands and has wonderful house manners. He loves to go on long walks, is very curious about his surroundings and other walker's passing by. Andrew is learning how to play and relax in his foster home. He has had lots of change lately and will take time to adjust to his new family. Andrew is truly a love he wants nothing more to cuddle. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information about Andrew.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into basic training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/?page_id=64 or email our Foster Coordinator at email@example.com
