Observations with Kids: Angie has done fine with kids she has met on the street, and overall does not seem to mind them.

Location: DC area foster
Rescued From: Pickens County, SC
Additional Information: Angie is a sweet and easygoing girl who loves life! Angie would be a great candidate for a home that already has a playful dog, as she enjoys going to the dog park and is always in the mood to play with her canine foster sibling. But she would love to soak up all the snuggles as the only dog too! Angie is extremely smart and has settled quickly into her foster family’s routine. She may be shy when first meeting new people, but once she warms up, this gentle girl will always make you smile with her goofball antics. Apply today to meet Angie!
If you are interested in meeting a dog, we require an adoption application. Visit to apply. If a dog has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.

If a dog has "NEEDS FOSTER" listed, they are still available for adoption. Information about our current dogs in need of fosters can be found here: and the application to foster is here:

City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Prior to arrival, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, Distemper DHPP, and Bordatella. They are tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet. Most dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken or crate trained. Our adoption fee is $395 (including puppies) unless noted -- senior dogs are available for an adoption fee of $200.

We also update our Facebook page daily with new dogs.
