Hi! I'm Anna! I'll be arriving in the DC area soon, and I CAN'T WAIT!! I'm a 4-year-old, 65-pound Hound mix, and I'm looking for my new forever family... maybe that's you?
At 4 years old, you can be certain my crazy puppy days are FAR behind me! I like long walks, lounging around on the couch with you while you're watching TV or reading a good book, and keeping you company on your drives here and there! Now that Autumn's here, I'm looking forward to romping around in some colorful, crunchy leaves, or maybe going along with you to a dog-friendly pumpkin farm to pick out a future jack-o-lantern or two. Really, I'm so sweet and easygoing, I'm game for whatever you're up to!
I play well with my dog friends, but I'm not sure how I do around cats or kids yet. We can certainly figure that out when I get to town, though. I'm REALLY hoping you'll sign me up for an adult obedience class so I can improve my manners and show you what a polite young lady I can be--plus, that sounds like a lot of fun!
So, what are you waiting for? Are you ready for a laid-back lady like me? Submit an application for me today!
Like most shelter dogs, Anna may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
Anna has tested positive and will be treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz K. at email@example.com!
