9/28/16 Please read the description of this breed (Dogo Argentino) before considering adopting. Apache is a sweet 100 pound puppy. We believe he may be a year old at the most. He plays like a puppy, loves to mouth-wrestle with the other dogs in his foster home and loves toys. He is great on a leash despite his size as he is not a fast moving dog. He has not had an accident in his foster home for the two weeks he has been there, but has access to a doggie door when his foster mom is home. He goes right into his crate when she goes to work and sometimes goes in his crate on his own at night with the doors open. He doesn't know his size and is a bit too much for the older dogs when playing with them. He is learning that his foster mom is not a play toy. He is very mouthy like a puppy and loves everyone including children and other dogs but had not been previously taught that a human arm is not a tug toy and he could be a bit much for some smaller and definitely older dogs. He is learning what is not acceptable but needs strong positive reinforcement as to what is acceptable play behavior. He is a Mastiff breed so is a slobbery drinker. He is a lovable big happy-go-lucky dog who is looking for the perfect home for his breed.
8/3/16 Hi, I am Apache and I am a 1 year old Dogo Argentino. I have just been rescued from the pound and not much is known about me yet. The amazing staff and volunteers here at Partners for Pets are busy getting to know me and getting me ready for adoptions.
