Hey everyone, This is Aspen. I have really started to grow up and settle down. I still have much of my puppy energy, but I am learning what settle down means. I am also learning how wonderful cuddling, getting kisses and giving kisses is. My new family will need to be active which will include walks, hikes and going to the water. I love playing by the water (sometimes in it too). Right now I am learning to be patient waiting for my new family. Please adopt me soon.
My name is Aspen and my sister’s name is Jayde. We are orphans. We had a wonderful home then one day our owner did not want us anymore so we were taken to the local shelter. We live out in the country so most of the time, we do not have anyone coming to look at us for adoption. Then one day near the beginning of June, a nice lady came to the shelter and took us to her home for foster care. While there she began the long process of making us healthy (good food and love) along with getting us spayed. During the time of our checkups it was discovered we were heartworm positive. Yes even at 7 months old we can get heartworms. But that was then. Today we are being fostered at a wonderful home with some other dogs who love to play as much as we do. Our final heartworm treatment has now passed and we will be ready to go to our furever homes either together or separate in a few weeks. 7-25
I am always wanting to play, go for walks compared to my sister. I am learning to sit for attention and wait patiently until you pet me. This is tough, but I will get there for I just want to please you. I love to play in the water, swim, go hiking. I love to play fetch, tug of war and anything to do with you. I am crate trained, leash trained, house trained and doggy door trained. I am a very social girl and love all people. I still need a little training on not jumping up when someone new comes around, especially little people. Play, happy, play, happy this is me.
I would love to be adopted with my sister. You can see her profile here: http://fohari.org/courtesy-posts/#action_0=pet&animalID_0=10374761
