Austin has been living in harmony in a foster home with 4 foster kitty siblings, 3 foster doggie siblings, and a 6-year old girl. Austin was by far the most feral of the bunch upon arrival, but has come so far! He hid a lot the first few days not knowing what to make of the indoors. He was tempted with some rotisserie chicken, and it won him over. Not a huge fan of being held, but will tolerate it, and if the mood strikes will butt your head with his. *LOVES* back of neck and shoulder rubs (this will melt him into a puddle – or at least cause him to roll on his side and back and get the paws going in the “making biscuits” dance.) Scratching his back will cause elevator butt. Incredibly playful, very independent, but may terrorize the family dog – no fear of dogs, and likes to chase his doggie foster brother while making a spectacle of himself. Loves other cats (may puff up once or twice upon meeting, but integrated very well with all his foster siblings.) Loves to sleep next to you (just out of reach), and will happily befriend you for some chicken (very food motivated – the better the food, the more motivation he has.) ****NOTE: It took him nearly 3 weeks to really start showing his personality, and I feel he still has a lot more opening up to do. He gets a bit traumatized over the Adoption Fairs, so will probably need a couple weeks to adjust once adopted. I really expect with the right person/family, he will turn out to be a most incredible cat, and winning his heart will grant you a very loyal friend.
