HISTORY: Poor little BABY BLUE was brought to a shelter in southern NM with a severe spinal injury; it is suspected that this poor kitten was picked up repeatedly by her tail, causing severe nerve damage. Most shelters euthanize animals with this type of injury, but the shelter staff wanted to give her a second chance because she is so sweet and loving. So, after necessary vet care which included amputation of her tail, BABY BLUE was transferred to Felines & Friends to give her the best chance at recovery and finding a good home. She previously found a home through F&F, but due to a severe illness in her adoptive family they can no longer care for her, so BABY BLUE is looking for her new forever home.
TEMPERAMENT: BABY BLUE is a very sweet, playful, and loving kitty who loves the company of other cats. She has control of her bladder and bowels, but due to her injury she sometimes drips a little urine when playing, which stands in the way of her finding a home. In order to give the best chance at recovery to this sweet little victim of abuse, Felines & Friends is beginning electro-acupuncture in hopes of improving her spinal injury. BABY BLUE is a beautiful Russian Blue mix girl with a short gray coat, and as noted above her tail has been amputated.
