Please understand we must conduct home visits in order for any dogs to be adopted. This is merely for the safety of these rescues. All animals are $75.00 and up. Adoption fees in correlation with care & expenses required to make each animal healthy and ready for adoption. Some dogs require fenced in yards, please feel free to ask any of our volunteers if the animal you're interested in requires a fenced in yard.
Please call 850-968-3260 for information on any of the animals you see listed with the JHS (Jr. Humane Society)
Baden is a 5 yr old Pitbull. She was a stray one of our cat volunteers(Elizabeth) found in not such a nice area. Baden was extremely underweight, had an infection in her ears & eyes, & has some hair loss on her back end. She is still gaining weight & growing her hair back but no more ear & eye infection. She did have to stay in boarding for over two weeks because we didn't have anywhere for her to go. Now that she's out of boarding she is so happy, sweet, & ready to meet everyone! She will be ready for adoption soon but still in the process of getting back to healthy weight.
The Junior Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer, animal rescue group. For over 25 years, we have taken in owner released pets so they won't be taken to the pound/animal shelter. All animals waiting for adoption are placed in foster homes. Before placing the animal in a permanent home we provide all necessary vet care, including but not limited to shots, spaying and neutering.
