Bailey is available for adoption from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. Bailey is spayed, fully vaccinated and dewormed, microchipped. Bailey is a gentle senior Maltese who will melt your heart. Although she is "senior", she is very active and loves going on walks. Bailey walks well on leash and lets strangers approach and pet her. She rarely barks at other dogs. She has had all her teeth removed and is mostly on a soft food diet. She will need her face cleaned after eating. Overall being a white long haired dog her human needs to take the time to groom her. She sits nicely during her baths and doesn't mind getting brushed or having her nails trimmed. She is used to having access to a peepad, although she mostly goes outside. Unfortunately carpet can confuse her and she has had a few accidents in the past. Her current foster home is all hardwood and there have been no accidents. 90% of the time she's very quiet, but she does like to talk. She'll tell all about her day when you come home and will let you know it's time for dinner or cuddles. She's no push over, but that's partly what makes her so unique and lovable. She plays and naps with her foster home Chihuahuas and has incredible amounts of patience with the young one. She will cuddle with you, but won't lick your face. It'll take her a few days to get comfortable but once she does, she'll run up and down the stairs, jump up on the sofa and whip around the back yard, leaving you wondering about the "senior" title. . Yes she has no teeth, but also no doggy breath or expensive dental bills. Yes she will need grooming and face wiping, but that's just part of taking care of someone. Someone who deserves a great home and will love you unconditionally. Adoption fee is $375.00 We require a filled adoption application which we will email to you a home visit and reference checks before adopting out our rescues in care. About Bailey. I am estimated about 6 -10 years old and I am sweetest girl you would ever meet. I am crate trained and pee pads inside trained. I am great with calmer small breed dogs and I am not good with large breed dogs they really scare me so I bark and want to chase them away. Positive Obedience training is recommended for me and it is never too late to learn new things. I love sleeping or cuddling with you. A good walk is great especially on these warm days plus playing outside with friends in my foster home placement. I would love home that understands I require special food because I don't have any teeth in my mouth. I lost them all due to neglect in my past life. Thank you to Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society I am healthy and doing really well now. OBEDIENCE TRAINING: Yes, We recommend it. We only use and recommend POSITIVE Science based dog trainers.
