Barney has had some challenges in his short little life. When he came in to the rescue his left eye was swollen and inflamed. He was immediately taken to the vet who prescribed eye ointment SIX times per day along with eye drops for 3 weeks. A foster stepped up and said she would take him and make sure the medication was given as ordered. At his next check-up the vet was amazed that the eye looked so much better. She then ordered that the treatment must be continued for another three weeks. She confessed that she had thought originally that Barney would lose his eye but all was going well so treatments continued. Eventually, Barney was given a clean bill of health and the OK to go up for adoption. He has vision in that eye but it appears a bit cloudy.
Foster mom says Barney is all "Full of himself". He is energetic and fearless. Born approximately 4/26/2016 Barney is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.
