Hi mu name is Barney. It was Dice when I was in animal control, but my foster mom didn’t think it suited me. I respond well to Barney. I’m just a baby; less than a year old. I love to sit in your lap. I love to sleep in your lap. I just love to be in your lap. My foster mom crates me at night, and I have gotten used to it. Since I am so young, I am not properly house trained. My foster mom used a belly band on me when she leaves and at night. I’m not always good at telling you when I need to go outside; I need someone that can take the time to housetrain me. I also still do puppy biting. And I’m full of energy. I love the people in my household, but I am scared of strangers. I think that I need to protect you, so I growl and sometimes snap at them. My foster mom thinks a man was mean to me, because I’m really scared of them. I don’t know how I am with children, because there aren’t any in my household. I think I’d be ok with older children, but young children would not be the best fit with my personality and size (I’m small). I love other small dogs. I love to play. I do not like big dogs. But, if I’m in a household with another dog you need to keep us separate at mealtime, just until you are sure we won’t get in a fuss. I don’t like being separated from the person (or people) I love. My foster mom isn’t sure how I’d do at being alone, since she has dogs. If you worked at home, or if you had another little dog to be my companion I’d probably be fine. I would love another brother or sister that would want to play with me. I shed. Not a lot, but my foster mom finds it on her pants after I’ve sat in her lap. So, you won’t have to take me to the groomer but I will need a bath and my nails trimmed. I hope that you will be my forever home. I will give you a lifetime of love and companionship. I have been neutered and am current on all my shots and microchipped. For more information on Barney please contact Vivienne at firstname.lastname@example.org or 615/943-7311. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
