Baxter is a typical hound dog – wants to chase cats, squirrels and other small animals. This behavior can make walking Baxter a little challenging, but with patience and training Baxter can learn good leash manners. In his last home, Baxter was potty trained, but did not like being crated at all. Baxter is a very sweet dog, very friendly, loves people, dogs and children. Baxter's ideal environment would have a fenced in backyard and a companion dog for Baxter to play with because he absolutely LOVES the company of other dogs.
