Bea’s mom, a fluffy Anatolian Shepherd, was found on a rural highway backstreet back in September of 2015, pregnant with 3 puppies. Bea is now 8 months old (June 2016), and weighs about 45 pounds. We expect she’ll be a medium size girl, with a short build.
The best trait to describe Bea is affectionate. She loves giving kisses and nuzzles and will take endless pettings. She loves to interact and play with humans, and is very interested in what her foster family members are doing. She loves to play (especially with other dogs), and can always tire herself out, followed by a nice, long puppy nap.
Her foster has done a lot of positive reinforcement training with her on basic puppy skills such as sit, lay, leave it, relaxation, touch, object targeting, leash skills, and recall. Bea is the most focused of the litter and loves to train. She walks well on a leash, is potty trained and (if necessary) will use a puppy pad.
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Bea is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
