Hi, my name is BEAU. I’m a 15-pound mixed breed of some sort (maybe a terrier-mix?), but whatever I am, Foster Mom says I’m very sweet and melt-your-heart adorable the way my left ear stands up and right ear flops. Before Colorado Canine Rescue (a non-profit) brought me to the Denver area, I was in a shelter in Houston TX, so little is known about me. It seems that I hadn’t gotten much care or attention, so I’m very shy and reserved at first with people I don’t know. When I came to Foster Mom’s, I didn’t want to be held or even petted. But now I love her attention and jump in her lap every chance I get! I’ve been okay with Foster Mom’s cats and dogs; but I haven’t played much with her other dogs, so she thinks I’d do just fine as an “only.” A yard might be nice, too, because I still need to learn how to “do my business” while on a leash, but we’re working on that. Loud noises and voices make me anxious, so a family with kids would not be good – but someone calm and loving who wants a quiet companion would be just right for me! I am house-trained, but there might be an accident or two while I am getting used to my forever home. Do you have the patience to win me over? I’m worth it! Please go on-line right now to fill out an adoption application at www.coloradocaninerescue.org. CCR is asking a $175.00 adoption donation for me, which is such a deal because I am neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative and microchipped. Remember, though, the Rescue can’t guarantee my breed composition or my age – but you won’t care about that once you meet me!
