Dog's Name: Belle
Estimated Breed : Treeing Walker Coonhound MIX
Approximate Age: ~2+
Approximate Weight: ~50
Currently Living at: Loving foster home with kids
Adoption Fee: $300
This is Beautiful Belle. She wandered up to a kind-hearted ladies house several months ago and she started taking care of her and loving her. She did not realize she was pregnant until the puppies came. Belle had 2 beautiful female puppies. The lady was planning on keeping Belle and having her spayed, and was searching for a good loving homes for her babies. Belle's savior, unfortunately, has hit on hard times. Due to her financial circumstances, she has lost her home and is having to move back to Arkansas with her family. She said she wanted Belle to be able to go with her, but her family does not want any animals. She is heart broken about having to leave Belle behind. The Kind-hearted lady said Belle was one of the sweetest dogs she had ever been around; she is very loving and affectionate. She does good with kids, other dogs, and yes even cats!! Belle and her puppies are now looking for their furever homes.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
