Hello ladies and gentleman, allow me to introduce myself. The Furkids staff have decided that I shall be called Beluga, although I’m not exactly sure why as I do not resemble a whale in any way. It must be due to my extreme intelligence and my “go with the flow” demeanor. It doesn’t actually matter that much to me as I am extremely grateful that they saved me from what I’m told was a “high kill” shelter. I’m also not exactly sure what that is, but it doesn’t sound good. The staff and volunteers have explained that at some point, I will be adopted and leave here to live in a home of my very own. I will certainly be excited but I will also miss the dogs that I play with here as well as all of the lovely children who come and take me for walks. They brag about my impeccable manners on a leash and at the dinner table. Some say I must have come from royalty to behave with such style and grace but I do not require a palace. Merely people who will appreciate my nature and will love me just as much as I deserve. I recently had a visitor who spent the day with me and she said: "He's fabulous. People are amazed at how awesome he is on the leash. I taught him "down" today! He is also doing very well with "leave it" and "stay." Thank you for your time and if you are interested in a fellow such as myself, apply to adopt me!
Since Beluga’s estimated birthdate is 06/30/2015, his adoption fee is $275 [senior citizens (age 62 and older) and military personnel receive a 15% discount on adoption fees]. If you want to know more about Beluga and to speak to an Adoption Counselor, please complete an application at https://furkids.org/dog-adoptions/application. Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
