These are adorable sweethearts were rescued as young pups last year from a construction site in East Atlanta. We assume that they are brothers. They are neutered, fully vetted, and WERE heartworm negative at the time we adopted them to what we thought was a good permanent home. One year later, here we are. The family who had adopted these sweet boys did not provide heartworm preventative. They found out at their annual update exam that they were heartworm positive and promptly dumped them back on AWHAR rather than even see them through treatment.
We have begun their treatment and they are expected to have nice healthy lives when the treatment is over. Unfortunately, all of our fosters are full and they need a foster home or permanent home at which to recoup from the treatment.
Both of them lived with a family for a year and are great with people. They are housebroken and very obedient. They know some commands and love to show off what they know for a treat. They listen very well. They are also great with kids.
ERNIE is gray and around 45 Ibs. He is very playful and outgoing. He’s very friendly and affectionate. He is a very happy-go-lucky dog.
BERT is grey and white and around 60 Ibs. He is kind of shy at first, but warms up to people very quickly. He is very sweet and calm. He loves to curl up next to you.
