This sweet girl has gone through a lot in her short life. She came from a hoarding situation and had little to no socialization and a terrible skin allergy. But since coming into foster care, she has been making progress in leaps and bounds!
Bitty is a wallflower doggie who is ready to love and please, but will need an adopter to take it slow. Once you gain her trust, she is a loyal and loving companion who just wants to be near her people at all times.
She is a playful puppy who loves other dogs, toys of all kinds, and is learning to fetch. She is sharp as a tack and will learn tricks and commands in no time. She has already learned to sit for her dinner.
Bitty is house trained and crate trained, but prefers a spot on the couch next to you while she chews on her bone. At night she sleeps in the crate with the door open in case she wants to wander around or go for a drink of water. She sleeps through the night and lets you know when it's time to go outside.
Bitty has so much love to give, she just needs time to warm up and trust you. A home with another medium doggy to play with would be ideal. Bitty will probably do well with children that respect her boundaries and let her come out of her shell slowly. Come and meet our special girl and you will fall in love with her as much as we have!
And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
