Hi everyone my name is Blake. I am a fun loving lab mix puppy that cannot wait to find my forever home. I am approximately 8 to 9 weeks old and weight about 10 lbs.
I do not know how I ended up in a scary shelter, but I am dreaming of long walks, trips to the dog parks and maybe even doggy daycare, and cuddling up with you on the couch. I am a young energetic pup and can't wait to learn new tricks and become the smartest pup on the block.
Blake is very kind, energetic and affectionate toward everyone he meets! He gets along well with dogs, but we haven't had a chance to see him interact with kids or cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll find out more.
Blake is dreaming of finding a warm and loving forever home! All he needs is a caring person or family to give him all the love and care (and treats!) he deserves!
Because Blake is so young, He will need someone to keep an eye on him during the day, so if you work a 9-5 job outside the home, he may not be the best fit for you at this time. If you're interested in taking this sweet pup home though, we ask that you can provide proof of a multi-times a day dog walker so that he is able to get out and about while you're gone.
Blake is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines. It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Due to his young age, Blake has not yet been neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 3/1/17.
Like most puppies, Blake will need to work on his housetraining. He will also need to go to puppy kindergarten to get lots of treats for doing good things like sitting and growing into a well-socialized dog.
The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Donna O'Leary at donnao@luckydoganimalresue.org!
