** PLEASE NOTE- this kitten can not be adopted as an "only-cat". He will ONLY be adopted to a home along with another kitten or to a home that ALREADY has another young cat who is altered, tested Neg for Feline Leukemia/FIV, vaccinated and up to date with vet care already in the home. Thank you!***
This ADORABLE, super friendly kitten was found in the upper level of a barn during a trap/neuter/return project. He was found under a pile of rubbish and we were unable to locate any siblings. He was only 4-5 weeks old when found and covered with fleas, but was eating well on his own even and quickly adapted to his foster home.
He is estimated to be 6 weeks old at the time of this posting (9/2/2016) and has amazing litterbox skills for such a tiny kitten. He has been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV and is negative. He has also been flea treated and received 2 dewormings. This little guy has the BEST personality and is both playful and gentle.
He has befriended another kitten that our volunteers found in the same colony, so she is likely Blue Star's relative. Her name is Gwendolyn and she is estimated to be close to 4 months old, but she appears younger and is smaller than a kitten would normally be at her age. She's phsyically doing very well now and is much less shy then when she came into foster care. She will start purring and rolling on her back when pet, but she still startles easily. Blue Star's very outgoing personality really helps to bring Gwendolyn out of her shell and they would love to go to a home together.
Blue Star MUST be adopted with another young kitten playmate or go to a home that already has another cat under 1 year old living there so that he can play with another feline that will match his level of energy, which is quite high! His future adopter will love watching his playful antics.
Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
