Bodie is waiting for his "forever family" to find him - he's been looking for them for awhile now and he's hoping they find him soon. Bodie is incredibly loving, sweet, and playful. He loves to swim, play Frisbee, and cuddle up on the couch, preferably under a blanket with someone while being snuggled. He loves squirrels, water bottles, car rides, tennis balls, tug of war, playing with other dogs, cucumbers, going on boats (he even loves riding on paddle boats or being on paddle boards!), walks, swimming, and visits to the dog park.
Bodie was in a loving home since he was originally adopted from Eleventh Hour Rescue as a puppy. However, Bodie has always had a slightly protective nature, protecting his home, crate, and food/water bowl from strangers, which is unfortunately no longer a good fit now that there are small children in the home. He is not protective with his owners, but does not do well with the unpredictability of little children so a home with older children would be a better fit for this gorgeous boy. He does well with other dogs as long as they are kept separate when they are eating food/treats/water.
Bodie LOVES playing with other dogs and will run and fetch for hours. While he is protective of his home initially, he is putty in your hands and wants nothing but cuddles as soon as he realizes you are friendly. He is a great watchdog (giving warning barks when cars pull up), so anyone that lives alone that is looking for a companion would also love him endlessly. He is crate-trained, leash-trained (using no-pull harness), citronella-collar trained if off leash, and is great with commands. He provides endless amounts of love to anyone that loves him back.
