We found Bo Jo wandering the countryside. We looked for his home, but to no avail. When we first brought him into rescue, he was a mass of ticks, just covered in them. It was so bad that it took several days to remove them all. And when they were gone we discovered this fine and handsome Min Pin mix. What a sweetie! We think he's about 9 months old and will probably weigh somewhere around 16 lbs. when fully mature. Bo Jo has had a particularly hard time in his young life. Not only was he found alone and afraid and covered with ticks, but when we tested him, he was positive for Heart Worm! So, you know what that means! We had him treated by our vet who has deemed him healthy once again! Hmmm. We could call Bo Jo a survivor, we know. But what stands out the most to us about this boy isn't so much that he's a survivor, but, rather, why he has survived. Perhaps we should have called him WILL. (posted 5/22/16, ME, N/A)
