Maybe he will solve the budget crisis, or maybe he will learn to cook. Boris is very sweet, snuggly, and friendly. His favorite treats are greenies and he loves using his different scratching toys! His absolute favorite thing is to be brushed! His foster believes that Boris will be highly trainable because he is so wonderful at adapting! Boris loves to soak up extra attention when he is around house guests. He is also an avid people watcher through the window! Apply today to meet this sweet and smart boy!
If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.
City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.

City Dogs Rescue is a rescue, not a shelter, and our dogs are located in temporary foster homes in the Washington, DC metro region. Adoption fee, home visit, and application required. CDR charges an adoption fee of $395 unless specified. This fee typically includes health care provided before adoption: all age-appropriate rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention prior to adoption, spay/neuter procedure, microchip when available, SNAP test for parasites, initial health check vet visit when going from the municipal shelter to City Dogs Rescue, and pre-adoption health care for dogs over the age of 1 year as needed. For puppies too young for spay/neuter: The fee is the same but does not include the cost of spaying and neutering.
