DOB: 8/14 Weight: 102 lbs
Bronx is a 2 year old St Bernard/boxer mix. He is a huge hunk of love and full of puppy energy in a 100 lb body! Bronx has not been around many people or animals in his short life and must have been kept outdoors in a pen. He came to us underweight and with bloody ears where flies had been chewing on him. He is also heartworm positive and undergoing treatment.
Bronx is currently in a foster home and loves the attention his Foster family is giving him. He has gained weight and his ears are all healed. He is working hard to become potty trained but will require lots of patience. He is very smart and eager to please and has learned sit and lay down and walks well on a leash. He does well with kids and cats and most dogs after being properly introduced. He would do best in a home where he can lay down at your feet at night and with a family who loves to play fetch with sticks and give belly rubs. He does still mouth and paw when playing so someone with large breed experience and no young kids would be best.
He has had a rabies shot, 7-way shot, bordetella and been wormed. He is neutered, microchipped and undergoing heartworm treatment now. He came to the shelter 8/16 and is in a foster home.
Our adoption fee is $130.00 and it helps to cover a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.
