Brutus is about 5 years old and 10 lbs and we believe a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. He was surrendered after his owner passed away. He gets along great with other dogs large and small, has no real interest in cats, and as far as we know was good with children when his previous owner had grandchildren over. When he arrived at his new foster home he immediately latched onto one of his foster sisters and followed her everywhere. It took him longer to get comfortable with the humans in his foster family. For this first few days he was very fearful and skittish. In the first couple days he had some accidents and nervous pees, but that has for the most part resolved itself. After ten days he is now right at home. He is so happy and his little tail is always wagging. He loves the garden, fearlessly running out with a flying leap down 4 stairs into the backyard. But he is is not as keen on walking on the leash. He still runs away if he thinks you are going to pick him up or put the leash on him. He is not much of a snuggler (though he is not ALWAYS against it) But he loves tummy rubs and pats. He loves treats and will dance for them. He is a good eater. He likes his crate and it was definitely his safe space in the first few days. He is an absolute delight and will bring joy to whoever takes him. He is pretty tough for a little guy, so I wouldn't be concerned about him with little kids.
