~~Hey Everyone, I’m Brutus! I am a big boned boy, but I love to take long walks on the beach, or wherever – lets just go! I LOVE to go for rides in the car but I need to drop some pounds so I need the walk – other than that I love to just lay around with my people and hang out.
I am almost 7 years old, LOVE KIDS and love having a female furry friend to hang with. I am good with cats and female dogs, large or small. I am a little possessive of my toys, unless you are a person. There was a time when I was a pretty cocky stud muffin, but I've mellowed as I've gotten older, so now, I’d just love to have a person or family of my own to pet me, hug me and brush me. I am terrified of thunder, but if you touch me, I’m all good – cuddles are even better. I like to lay next to my toy and have my fur-sister try to take it away. I am the perfect house dog, well, as long as you brush me or have me furminated. I love to sleep at your feet and sometimes cuddle on the couch. I am great on a leash but I have a strong prey drive that only kicks in when I see a squirrel or bunny. I can be talked out of it, but a strong hold on my leash is needed the first few times until we get used to each other. They say that people don’t really want a black dog….I’m not a black dog, I am a love bug, a King and a beautiful soul that you will love once you look into my big beautiful, brown eyes. If you think Brutus is the right fit for your family, please work with your adoption coordinator. Brutus is being fostered in Raeford, NC.
