Brindle Beauty Ready for her Forever Home!
BUTTERCUP NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Buttercup Breed: Boxer Mix
Approximate Age: 2 SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 60 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at: SHELTER. Buttercup needs a foster home, or better yet, a forever home!
Buttercup is a gorgeous 2 year old Boxer mix. She weighs about 60 lbs and, because of her age, she's done growing. We don't know how this sweet girl ended up in a shelter but it hasn't dampened her spirits one bit (look at that smile!) and she can't wait to find her forever family!
Buttercup will need plenty of exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. She would love to go on long walks and regular trips to the dog park. After she's tuckered out, Buttercup loves curling up for a nice nap and belly rub. She can't wait to go to obedience training with her new family so that she can bond with her people and become her very best self!
Buttercup is good with other dogs so she'd be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. The nice folks at Lucky Dog don't know how Buttercup is with young children or cats but if you're interested, let us know and we can try to find out!
Like most shelter dogs, Buttercup may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
Buttercup has tested positive and been treated for for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Meg H at email@example.com!
