Caitlyn and her kittens were stray and being fed by a nice lady. PAWS was called to take them in.
Caitlyn is very sweet and a little shy. She gets along fine with the other cats, and we are encouraging her to play since she really didn't have a chance while living on the street.
Caitlyn has been spayed and vaccinated. Her test showed she is FIV+ which was most likely the result of being mated with a tomcat. FIV is not a big deal if the cat is healthy (she is) and won't spread if the cat is not aggressive (FIV is spread by mating and fighting, and since Caitlyn is fixed, and passive, this is not a concern). FIV cannot be spread by sharing food, water, or litter. FIV is a FELINE disease, and cannot spread to dogs, humans, etc.
We are working to get better pictures of this sweet girl. She is not sure what the camera is!
