She will be the first one to greet you when you get home and follow you around at your heels everywhere you go. Close the door on her and she will sit patiently and wait for it to open with her paws stretching underneath to see if she can reach you. She loves lots of attention but is also very active. She especially enjoys feathers and a long ear scratch. If you're looking for a laugh each day, Calista is the one for you!

If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.
City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.
