7 years old, female, hound mix, good with dogs, no kids
Poor Candy has been through so much. She has been trying to adjust to life with people again and is doing better but still has a long way to go. When we first got Candy in she was not happy with one of the members of her foster home and so she had to move to a different foster. She is doing well at her current foster and is starting to socialize slightly. She is very fearful of new people and will run and hide and bark from afar. If she knows you she will start to socialize with you and will sometimes seek attention. Candy came from an environment where she was not kept in a home situation and that has not helped her already she personality. Candy has also had a golf-ball sized bladder stone removed since she has been with us and is currently on prescription food to prevent this from happening again. This poor pup will need a really special home to step up and become her forever home. Is that home yours? Please no kids in Candy's forever home. Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. The first step in meeting one of our furry friends is to fill out an application on our website at www.rainbowrescues.org. A volunteer will be in contact with you in 1-2 business days to review your application and speak with you about the adoption process.
