All cats with PUP are in private foster homes so we can provide our potential adopters the most current information available.
Raising a kitten requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Casper will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training and affection he deserves.
Health: Casper has been neutered and microchipped. He is current on his vaccines and tested negative for Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). He has been wormed and flea treated.
History: Casper comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs and cats PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state.
Notes from Casper's Foster Home:
This litter of white kittens has been a joy to foster. They are active, curious, playful and social. Although they love attention they are also fairly independent. If they see a lap to sit on they often take advantage of it, but they are just as happy exploring their environment and playing with their toys and each other. Although we can’t know for certain, it appears they may be a rather rare Thai breed called Khao Manee. Khao Manee means white gem and this perfectly describes our strikingly beautiful kittens. Two of the kittens have what the Animal Planet video calls the coveted “odd eyes,” an unusual combination of one blue eye and one gold eye or one blue eye and one green eye.
We are speculating that the kittens were dropped off at the shelter because of a hearing issue. They appear to be deaf or at least have low-functioning hearing. This doesn’t affect their ability to live a normal life and it certainly doesn’t dampen their joy for living. Because of their hearing loss it is especially important, for their safety, that they be strictly indoor cats.
Casper is the largest of the group, has the loudest purr and can be quite the talker. Of all the kittens, he is the one most likely to sit on your lap for an extended period of time while purring his little heart out.
Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the cat's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.
Adoption: If you think you have room in your home and heart for this cat and you reside within Washington State, please go to our Adoption Information page. There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application.
