C.G. (short for Country Girl) was found as a stray in a very rural part of the state. She apparently was someone's pet as she is healthy, good with other dogs and people, and appears to be housebroken. She is timid at first when she first meets people but warms up very quickly once she knows you are a friend. She loves to be petted, great on walks and is happy to ride in the car. Loves to play fetch and knows to sit at the door before you open it. When she first arrived she wouldn't let anyone near her but now she's so happy and frisky when she sees people she knows and trusts. Runs up to them and sweetly asks for affection and pets. She's a sweet, happy, pretty gal who is simply looking for someone to keep her safe, lavish her with love and affection and share their adventures with her. She's a great size weighing just around 40 lbs. and is not shy about getting in your lap for a little tlc. Her coat is longish and will need some weekly brushings to keep those furry tumbleweeds from multiplying. We are still waiting to see if she has the Beagle barking trait -- she's still a little on the shy, quiet side. Not sure about cats yet -- will test soon.
