Meet Chaps! Chaps is a 2 year old, 50 lb American Bully (created by crossing a Pit Bull with an English Bulldog) he came as a puppy to Animal Services originally in 2014 from a homeless owner who allegedly neglected him, and he was frequently impounded until a worker at Animal Services offered to foster him so we could help him find his FUREVER home.
He is a great couch potato, and perfect for Netflix nights, 20 hours straight play of “Call of Duty”, romps on the beach at dusk, or laying at your feet at a dog friendly restaurant. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is currently being fostered with 5 other dogs and a few cats. He is GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS and would do best in a home with older respectful kids. He definitely favors the bulldog, brachycephalic, breathing type issues. He will need to be a mainly indoor dog and carefully monitored during excessive heat spells. *Chaps had an elongated palate causing fainting spells & overheating. We had this surgically corrected on 8/1/16, by removing some of the extra soft palate tissue to allow easier breathing during activities and prevent further fainting or overheating.
Chaps is neutered, micropchipped and current on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.

All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
Thank you for visiting our dogs located at www.SecondChanceDogRescue.org

Would not recommend breeder. Info and pictures on their website are old. Bought a puppy in 2015 and discovered he has leg deformities. Breeder was not interested, concerned, or responsive.
