CHARLIE BROWN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Charlie Brown Breed: Chihuahua mix
Approximate Age: 2 SEX: male
Approximate Weight: 15 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at the shelter, Charlie Brown needs a foster and a forever home.
Special adoption considerations: No children under 15 years of age
Hi there, my name is Charlie Brown! People here at the shelter have told me I will soon be going on a long trip to the big city. I know this is a good thing because the other dogs say Washington is where you go to find a home. I'm a little nervous but excited at the same time. I go to sleep each night dreaming that someone out there is looking for a cute little dog like me.
Charlie Brown is a sweet Chihuahua mix who will make a wonderful companion for the right household. Because of their small size Chihuahuas cannot go to a home with children under the age of 15. Charlie Brown has lived with other dogs and cats and gets along fine with both.
Charlie Brown is a bit shy and would appreciate being in a quiet household.Shy dogs need some time and space to feel comfortable around new people.Charlie Brown sometimes get a little nervous when people approach him while standing up. Bend down to his level and you will quickly make a new friend. Once he gets to know you Charlie Brown is very loving and snugly.
Shy dogs are flight risks and extra care must be taken to ensure they cannot escape from their new surroundings.
Charlie Brown would do best in a home with another dog. Shy dogs bond quickly with canine siblings who can show them the household routine and how to act like a dog. An experienced dog owner who has the patience to work with Charlie Brown at his own pace would be ideal. As he starts to feel more secure Charlie Brown's personality will show through and his new owner will discover just how wonderful he is. This dog is truly a diamond in the rough.
Like most shelter dogs, Charlie Brown may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at email@example.com!
