Adoptions are restricted to a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA and young kittens must go to a home with another playful cat or to a home that already has a feline playmate- kittens are NEVER adopted out as only-cats in the home.
Cherubino was trapped by a Cat Shack Volunteer on her grandmother's property in the Northampton, PA area. He or she was trapped with a broken tail, which will be looked at my a vet soon. Upon input, he or she does not seem to be aggressive, but is understandably frightened and withdrawn at the moment. A sibling, Figaro, was trapped a few days ago and is with her now in foster care.
Chrubino has been tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been dewormed and given a flea treatment.
UPDATE; 8/20/16 - Vet has determined that Cherubino's tail can simply heal normally, and does not need to be amputated. She will have a crooked tail, giving her character :-)
She is slowly warming up to being handled, and promises to be a wonderful, friendly, playful kitten very soon.
