CJ is a 3 year old Saint Bernard/Golden mix (at least that is our best guess!) She is a bit of a nervous girl, but very sweet to people. Because she is so nervous, she would probably do best in a home without children who want to get in her face and rough house with her. She was returned to EHR because she went after the adopter’s dog and snapped a couple of times at the kids when they tried to play with her.
CJ is very sweet, smart, and affectionate – but the person who handles her needs to be aware that she needs a slow-moving approach (at least at first) and that she is the kind of dog that needs to settle in before she feels comfortable. She also probably needs to be the only animal in the house although she seems to do fine with bigger dogs, but we are not certain that she is totally comfortable around them. Her initial family who surrendered her seemed to think she was just a big loveable teddy bear who got along with everyone – so I imagine that once she settles in and feels safe, she will be okay.
CJ weighs 70 pounds, has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. If you'd like to meet this gorgeous gal, please fill out an application & be sure to mention her by name - CJ KY!
