Hi everyone, I'm Cleo and this is my story....
I was abandoned at an apartment complex and when I saw someone approach the mail boxes I ran up to them from the bushes looking for a human to love me. My foster mom named me Cleo, short for Cleopatra. I love to sit on my foster dad's lap, or by his feet while he plays games on the computer. When I think he's been playing for too long I like to jump up on the desk and sit on his keyboard. I love to play with feathers and ribbon and I like to lick my foster mom's hand when she lays down to cuddle with me. I am considered special needs because in June 2016 I was diagnosed with diabetes – I’m told that makes me “extra sweet”. I was quickly switched to a wet food-only diet and started taking insulin shots (small doses of Lantus) for a month or so to regulate my glucose levels and guess what...during my vet visit in late July we got the awesome news from my vet that my diabetes is now controlled by my diet of low carb/high protein wet food so I no longer need insulin shots - hooray!! I have a healthy appetite and I love my yummy wet food (currently Fancy Feast) so other than the wet food diet there is no special care needed to keep me healthy and happy. I'm a very sweet and social kitty and can't wait to find my furever humans - do you think maybe that could be you?
Love,
Cleo
