Hi, my name is Cleo. I'm a Domestic Short Hair Tortie. I was rescued as a stray last December. You may be too young to know the musical "My Fair Lady." It's the one with the song, "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain." There's a verse in one of the other songs that I consider to be my theme song. "All I want is a room somewhere, Far away from the cold night air; With one enormous chair; Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?" You see, I was scared and alone before these nice humans took me in. Life on the streets is really tough, especially when you're pregnant. Things sure have changed for the better since being found by TCPR. My three babies were born in a warm, safe house. They grew up and got adopted by compassionate, loving people, but now it's my turn to find a furever home. It's amazing how much I enjoy living inside with my friendly foster brother (a cat) and foster mom (a human). They've both been instrumental in helping me open up and become more affectionate. I'll admit it, I'm still rather shy and prefer the quiet life -- no rowdy parties or kitty-crazies for me. My foster mom calls me an "undercover cat" because I'm so quiet and have a ready-made camouflage coat. (Maybe I was a spy in a previous life.) Anyway, I am usually in "stealth mode" and never bother anybody. I don't demand attention or make any noise. A little rubbing under my chin or some petting on my back is always appreciated. I'm not much of a lap cat unless you keep feeding me soft, yummy treats. Once the treats are gone, so am I. You can usually find me cuddled up in the cushy, plush bed, which I LOVE! Please don't ever take away my little bed -- it's so "loverly." My idea of a perfect home is one that's quiet and doesn't have young kids or highly active dogs. Other gentle- natured cats are okay. Or I'd wouldn't mind being an only pet. One thing's for sure: I promise to always be polite and sweet, and I'll rub against your legs to show my love.
I'm altered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccinations, including rabies.
