3 yr old miniature black poodle
Coal is a 3 year old miniature poodle we rescued to enter our Hearing Dog Program. We were told he was a purchased puppy and eventually left with the owner’s elderly mother who could not afford all the dogs she had so he was given to Animal Control in Downey.
Coal is very playful and energetic. He loves going for long walks and will retrieve his toys as often as someone is willing to throw them. He gets along with dogs of all sizes but may be fearful of cats. His house manners are very good and he is crate trained. He rarely barks but he does spin or walk quickly in circles when he is excited or stressed.
Coal is typical of most poodles in that he tends to attach to one person in the household. He seems to be more interested in bonding with adults than kids although he doesn’t mind getting pets from anyone. If you believe Coal might be the perfect dog for you, please fill out our online application under the link ‘Dogs for Adoption’ at samsimonfoundation.org.
