Daisey is 7 year old, 80 pound, female GSD. She is good around older children; she likes adults and has no preference between men and women. She likes and has lived peacefully with a cat; and also lives with a small dog. She obeys basic commands (come, sit, stay, crate), and is great companion and watchdog. Someone is typically home with Daisey during the day. Historically she has been home alone, not in her crate, for up to 6 to 7 hours with no issue. She has never damaged anything in our home when left alone. She is crate trained and has been in both a plastic and woven crate with a pad. She sleeps on the floor in our bedroom at night. Daisey is very loyal and protective, and takes her watchdog job very seriously. While this makes her a very good watchdog, it also means that she barks at all humans and animals in her territory or who enter the home. She is skittish around young children, especially toddlers, and will bark and growl if they approach the fence in our yard. Like many Shepherds, she gets anxious when she does not know what is expected of her. She is also scared of thunderstorms. Daisey loves to go on walks and on runs. She has a lot of energy! She likes to fetch balls and sticks and be outside. Otherwise, she likes to be with her human pack.
