Dana is a beautiful girl who loves to play with our lab/pit mix female. They wrestle and play tug of war for hours. Dana will come to me when I am seated or if I offer her food when I am standing. She approaches me when I am seated for a quick pet or scratch, but is quick to run if I move too suddenly. You can see the love and trust in her eyes. It is there just waiting to be earned by someone who loves enough to show her patience.
She has made so much progress in the past few months. Now instead of having to ask my youngest daughter (gifted with animals) to put Dana in her crate at night, Dana happily responds to "it's night night time" and goes into the crate for the night. The crate is her safe place and if a spot on the sofa isn't open she will stretch out in her crate for a nap. Just a few short months ago she would cry so much that I would often sit with her for hours until she got too sleepy to fuss when I went to bed. She loves to chew and is easily distracted with hooves or antlers. Dana is ready to begin leash training and we have planned to begin after black Friday (three of our family work in retail). I STRONGLY suggest that any potential home have a fenced yard and a family with extra patience. It may take more time but she is definitely going to be a superstar.
Even tho I would like to ve to resue them all I can't but love how they r being taken care , I haven seen one I want but still going to keep looking , thanks for this opportunity.
